Job Description: Data Analyst - Project Caraga
Position Summary: Project Caraga, a large-scale nature conservation and restoration initiative in the Caraga Region of Mindanao, is seeking for Data Analyst. This position is critical during the Participatory Land Use Planning (PLUP) processes and will perform essential functions, including intensively collecting relevant data from different sources, cleaning data in preparation for land use analysis and analysing and interpreting results.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identifies, prepares and analyzes community, socio-economic and land use datasets supporting the Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and Participatory Land Use Planning (PLUP) of different CADTs in the CARAGA Region

2. Leads the development and implementation of quantitative data analysis plans and methods, including building relationships with the RECOFTC consultant team, National, Provincial and Local Government Units Planners and indigenous communities, researching local data sources, collecting and cleaning data, conducting quantitative data analysis with an emphasis on spatial analysis, developing data specializations, contributing to the development of presentations and reports.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required preferably in Georaphy, statistics, economics or related field
Experience: Demonstrated advanced proficiency in quantitative data analysis, GIS software and geospatial analysis.
Exceptional data management and analysis skills using geographic, demographic, socioeconomic and economic data
Interest in, knowledge of, experience with, and willingness to learn about carbon trading, climate change,community development and issues facing Indigenous communities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required
Advanced critical-thinking skills exhibited by the ability to take information from a wide variety of sources and synthesize/analyze the information in the context of a lad use planning project
Ability to translate technical data into insights and visualizations meaningful to a broad audience
Effective and confident communicator
Ability to set and meet deadlines
Good relational skills, including with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to build and maintain respectful and effective relationships with Indigenous people
Must be a collaborative team player, intellectually curious and an advocate for the use of data to facilitate the completion of the SIA and PLUP.

Salary: Up to Php35,000.00 per month
