Key Responsibilities
- Design and help implement data engineering for task automation.
- Be responsible for laying the foundation for the platform as well as proposing solutions to ease software development.
- Implement statistical concepts and techniques to analyze experiments and user behavior.
- Work with stakeholders, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to develop and review designs and business requirements.
- Complete all assigned tasks/projects adhering to timelines and meeting all deadlines.
- Prepare technical documentation and operational guidelines and perform handover to operation teams.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Willingness to learn more about new languages and frameworks
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills
- Good team player, result-oriented attitude, and analytical mind
- Advanced level of English
- No military obligation for male candidates for at least 2 years
Preferred qualifications
- Experience building and optimizing reliable, idempotent data pipelines (streaming or batch) using ETL tools such as Matillion, Apache NiFi, Kafka, and Spark.
- Prior development or technical knowledge and skills with Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL Databases; MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Cassandra, MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, Elastic stack.
- Cloud experience, preferably with Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ideal.
- Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
- Experience with Reporting tools: Cognos, PowerBI, Tableau, etc
- Strong Oracle background including Data Architecture, PL/SQL, ODI, and OBIEE.
- Analysis and Integration of new data resources according to data mappings.
- Ability to gather and process raw data at scale (including writing scripts, web scraping, calling APIs, write SQL queries, etc.)
- Define and achieve the roadmap for the Data Warehouse, Reporting and Analytics (Visualization) teams.
- Architect and design extensions to the data warehouse, data marts, and data integrations to support BI projects and the BI roadmap.
- Keep management apprised of trends, best practices, and issues related to business intelligence, data warehousing, and associated emerging technologies.
- Creation of required Database objects.
- Solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
