As a UX Designer in the Rewards and Wallet area, a strategic approach is essential. You will be deeply involved in the creation, delivery and optimisation of one of the world’s largest rewards programs.
This role will require interaction with internal stakeholders to deliver cross-vertical solutions, as well as working with our internal experimentation tool and validating your solutions with user researchers. Analytical thinking will frequently be required to verify both problems and their solutions.
About the role: As a UX Designer you’ll be a key part of the idea generation process, working in a small startup-like group which takes full ownership of their part of our platform. ‘Designer’ is just what it says on your CV – you’d be just as happy to be labeled an Engineer, or Analyst; a Builder, Maker or Problem Solver. As a UX designer you will be responsible for:- Shape the future of Booking.com’s rewards program
- Own cross-vertical flows and design documentation
- Collaborate closely with our design system’s team
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across the company to implement earning and redemption flows
- Use our internal tools to experiment and validate your proposed solutions
- Service design for internal teams within booking to support earning and redemption of rewards
- Coordinate with researchers and data analysts to fully understand user requirements
- Stay updated on industry trends related to rewards, wallet and payment
Your contribution:
- You are comfortable with each part of the design process, from research to exceptional UI design
- Fluent in design thinking process and be able to independently to identify the problems to come up with validated solutions and iterated based on feedback to be ready to hangover for implementation
- You are comfortable creating wireframes, polished mockups, and prototypes needed to communicate your ideas
- Your strengths include being self-driven and taking full ownership of your ideas to solve challenging problems
- You are comfortable working collaboratively with developers, product owners, and copywriters
- You thrive on feedback and critique, responding with creative thinking and iterative design
- You are a passionate advocate for the user, dedicated to the craft of design and creating elegant user experiences
- You have an eye for identifying commonalities across a broad range of user contexts, and using this to refine and evolve our library of product patterns with a focus on being smart, scalable, and pragmatic when needed
- You understand and thrive in an environment which employs extensive A/B testing - Booking.com is a data-informed company and testing is an important part of learning and decision making
- You know the importance of accessibility and can design with these user needs in mind
- You can confidently manage multiple stakeholders across the track and business and can discuss your ideas with everybody from directors to your junior peers.
