In this position, you’ll be:
- Ensuring the daily site works are performed in accordance with the construction program.

- Allocating daily work requirements and supervision to construction workers.
- In partnership with the Site Manager and Project Manager, plan and review overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis and regularly report on the progress of the project to management.
- Ensure the project is adequately staffed and all site resources (labour, machinery, materials, subcontractors etc.) are effectively utilised and monitored to achieve timely completion of projects.
- Ensure that all statutory requirements (e.g., Local Council, EPA, Safe Work NSW etc.) are always adhered to on site.
- Understand the WHS System, administer the Environmental Plan and Site Safety Plan, ensuring all employees and sub-contractors always adhere to them.
- Carry out Site Induction and Toolbox meetings.
- Ensure that the relevant information is communicated to construction workers enabling them to effectively carry out their duties effectively, providing performance feedback and support as required.
- Build effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively identify details or problems ahead of program where additional detail and or planning is required.
- Foster a positive work environment, motivating the teams to work toward desired goals and acting with integrity to gain and maintain the trust, respect and the support of others.
- Allocate resources to the project in consultation with your Site Manager and construction teams.
- Understand the project financial components including budgets and performance.
- Occasionally survey set out and quality checking of construction activities as they occur.
- Regularly attend Foremen training with experienced mentors to assist your personal growth and development.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous supervisory experience in civil construction industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the construction industry and processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, planning and organisation skills, with the ability to run a construction site effectively.
- Ability to read construction drawings.
•Ability to perform quality checks on construction equipment.
- Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels.
- Strong understanding and working knowledge of WHS, Environmental Management and Quality System.
- High level of initiative to continuously improve productivity and cost control.
- Survey equipment skills preferred but not required.
- An ambition to learn and improve.
- Willingness to support, coach and develop others.

Salary: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
