Click on Search Jobs, then use AmeriCorps as the Keyword to find all openings. The program provides a total of 14 full and 20 half-time AmeriCorps State members (ACMs) throughout Georgia to deliver research-based positive youth development (PYD) programming to students aged 9-19 to assist them in acquiring knowledge, developing life skills, and forming attitudes that will enable them to become self-directing, productive, and contributing members of society. This includes interventions aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards, covering topics such as STEM, career awareness, and public speaking in 33 counties in Georgia. ACMs provide PYD programming under the direction of the County Extension Coordinator and 4-H Agent. This is a direct service position that requires transport of youth and some night and weekend hours. All ACMs receive a modest, monthly living allowance. Full-time ACMs are eligible for free health insurance (including vision and dental) and can apply for childcare assistance. ACMs are required to attend a two-day New Service Year Orientation yearly (10/16 -10/17/23), additional face-to-face training, and monthly webinars. ACMs attend local, district, and state program activities and events.

Member Duties : ACMs provide direct services to youth in all areas of 4-H programming, focusing on in-school educational club meetings, preparing youth for 4-H Project Achievement, attending summer camp, and delivery of community service projects. ACMs collect and track data related to performance measures (in-school educational club meetings, the 4-H Project Achievement process, and volunteer recruitment and volunteer hours contributed), including survey administration and data entry.
